About Lexploration’s Founder, Julian Bryant

The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want and if they can’t find them, make them.

Geore Bernard Shaw

Believe it or not, Lexploration has roots that go all the way back to Indiana in the late 1990s.

Our founder, Julian Bryant, graduated from Notre Dame in 2000 with degrees in (get this) Japanese, Government/International Relations, and Computer Applications.

After studying abroad in Japan, then heading to Georgetown for law school and passing the California State Bar Exam, he landed an Associate position at Cooley in 2008.

If you’re reading this, you probably already know something that Julian had to learn the hard way: The practice of law has very little in common with the experience of law school. The overwhelming tedium of hours spent updating company 10-K reports and revising shareholder agreements quickly drove him into the loving arms of… software development.

And here we are. After many years of learning and teaching iOS development, entrepreneurship, and early stage startup strategy, Julian founded Lexploration to provide thoughtful, powerful, and practical AI tools for attorneys.

“The next few years are going to see massive innovation in legal tech, and someone like me – someone with both a GitHub account and a law degree – is best positioned to make it happen.”
